Produced from 100% Sangiovese grapes.
Rosso di Montalcino DOC wine does not require long ageing to appreciate its excellent qualities
It is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, which are harvested in the months of September/October, when they reach ideal ripeness. The grapes are vinified in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures and undergo the customary long period of maceration and pump overs.
The wine is aged in large Slavonia oak barrels for several months and subsequently bottled.
Fornacina Winery’s Rosso di Montalcino is a pleasant and appealing wine. It is very well structured, and pairs excellently with aperitifs and appetizers. It is very pleasant to drink paired with red meats and aged cheeses
